Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Management — Supporting F-22 fleet sustainment activities
  • SSOW Governance — System Safety Order of Work oversight
  • Systems Engineering — Cross-functional coordination from component to aircraft level

Journey

I joined Skunk Works as a structural designer and have since transitioned into systems engineering, working across the full aircraft rather than individual components.

Launch Operations Intern

Overview

Managed facilities projects supporting Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch operations at SpaceX’s Cape Canaveral launch site, including the historic LC-39A pad.

Key Achievements

  • $1M+ Projects — Managed multiple facilities projects totaling over $1 million
  • LC-39A Support — Worked at the historic pad that launched Apollo 11 and now supports SpaceX missions
  • Starbase Visit — Witnessed Starship development firsthand at Boca Chica, Texas

Impact

I got to see rockets launch that I helped support—from managing the facilities that keep launch operations running to witnessing Starship development firsthand at Starbase.

Coordinated engineering and construction on manufacturing projects at Gigafactory Texas during the buildout of Tesla’s newest American facility.

Key Achievements

  • $19M+ Program Coordination — Managed coordination across multiple large-scale programs
  • Cross-functional Coordination — Worked between engineering and construction teams
  • Cyber Rodeo — Attended the historic opening event, witnessing the Cybertruck prototype unveiling

Impact

Coordinating multi-million dollar programs across a factory being built in real time was a crash course in managing complexity at scale.
